Linguistic Approaches to Multilingual World

Most of the world’s people are bi- or multilingual. This fact has to be taken into account in the research on language competence, on specific languages or on communication. The multilingual world is a topic that is shared by many voices from different perspectives. The section aims to provide a platform for researchers to present various studies in the intertwining areas:

• Communication among bi- and multilingual people,   
• Language competence of bi- and multilinguals,   
• Multilingual communication in specialized areas,   
• Contrastive analysis of languages for specific purposes,   
• Legilinguistics in the multilingual world.
